In line with the tradition of featuring a Louisiana artist, this 30th anniversary poster was inspired by the artwork of graphic artist, Denise Gallagher. “Le Rêve Lyrique du Festival” was inspired by the sights, sounds and experiences of Festival International de Louisiane. Using line, color, texture and pattern Gallagher created a scene in which seemingly magical performers, glowing blue under stage lights, sing a lyrical dream of the Festival. Their song brings to life a mingling of cultures, music, flavors, colors and the feeling of dancing freely on a warm spring Louisiana evening. The imagery of this dream song captures the joy of attending Festival International de Louisiane — an experience like none other. Bonne Fête au Festival!
